Shipping Lead

Teal Drones, a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, is looking to fill an immediate position for Shipping Team Lead. Teal is focused on creating world class system solutions serving a broad range of applications for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). We are working to deliver state of the art, high quality, high performance robotic systems to address the growing applications in the drone industry.

The Shipping Lead is tasked with managing daily shipping operations. Will be the one to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. A successful shipping lead is task oriented, well organized and excels in communication. Responsibilities include collaborating with team leads, production supervisors, and business development team to continuously improve and exceed customer requirements. The role requires high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc. Communicate with Business development team status of orders.
  • Use SAP system to track, check, prioritize and route orders
  • Direct the flow of products from preparation to staging to shipment
  • Ensure labels, barcodes and other features of orders are accurate
  • Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
  • Report to management on activities and issues
  • Maintaining inventory of all shipping materials; cycle counting of inventory.
  • Maintains a positive and collaborative work environment (in the department and across other functions).
  • Preparing commercial invoices and S.E.D.s as required for international shipments.
  • Shipping customer orders domestically and internationally using specified carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • History of success in a position of accountability is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of shipping procedures
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with inventory, cycle counts, or audit is a plus;
  • Proven ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Computer savvy with knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience and ability to operate a forklift.
  • Proficient counting / math skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Team oriented

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, as required by the duties and responsibilities.
  • Adeptness in moving around the office, manufacturing facilities, and other workspaces.
  • Clear vision for precision work and attention to critical dimensions and quality control callouts.
  • Ability to actively engage in team discussions, presentations, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines in laboratory or manufacturing settings.
