Principal Electrical Engineer

Teal Drones, a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, is looking to fill an immediate position for a full-time Principal Electrical Engineer. Teal is a rapidly growing technology company focused on creating worldclass system solutions serving a broad range of applications for design and development of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS drones) for use in defense, public safety, and other government security organizations.

Teal’s electrical engineers manage their designs from conception through sustaining. The Principal Electrical Engineer is responsible for the high-level electrical system design of major products such as drones, gimbals, or ground control stations. This role involves collaborating closely with other discipline lead engineers and the product manager to decompose product-level requirements into a system architecture and set of engineering requirements that achieve the product vision with the best compromise of development time, cost, and design complexity. The Principal Electrical Engineer also directs the efforts of other electrical engineers focused on specific subsystems and integrates their designs to build a robust, integrated system. Taking ownership of the design process, the Principal Electrical Engineer drives the team to produce the best possible product.

This position reports to the Director of Electrical Engineering.
